About the position
HFA is seeking a talented and motivated Designer to join our dynamic Loves Design Team, with a focus on designing convenience stores and travel plazas. In this role, you will leverage your skills in Revit and AutoCAD to contribute to the development of innovative building designs and the drafting of detailed construction documents. You will collaborate closely with the Design Team lead to tackle challenges, gain hands-on experience with client requirements, and navigate building codes and zoning regulations. As part of a collaborative, multi-disciplinary environment, you will provide valuable design solutions, perform quality control on your work, and engage directly with clients to help bring their vision to life. Responsibilities
- Use 2D and 3D software to assist the Design Team in the development of designs and drafting construction documents in support of clients' building program
- Utilize education and experience to independently tackle challenges as they arise on projects with the support of Design Team lead
- Gain experience evaluating client requirements, building code, and zoning regulations to develop design recommendations
- Provide technical design planning and coordination in a collaborative and multi-disciplined environment
Requirements
- Experience with Revit and AutoCAD is required
- Equivalent of a Bachelor's degree in Architecture or Interior Design or an Architectural Studies degree preferred, but not required
