About the position

The Architectural Designer II at Ruhnau Clarke Architects is responsible for coordinating the technical aspects of architectural projects under the supervision of project managers. This role involves managing production schedules and technical details for small projects, with the potential to take on more responsibilities as experience grows. The position requires a foundational knowledge of architectural design and technology, particularly in BIM/Revit and drafting.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate technical aspects of projects under direct supervision.
• Manage production, schedule, and technical aspects of small projects.
• Check contracts, documents, and technical specifications for accuracy.
• Communicate with consultants and the construction department.
• Supervise and review the technical work of Designer I.

Requirements

• Professional degree in architecture (B. Arch, M. Arch) preferred.
• 2-3 years of experience in design, preferably in K-12 educational facilities or similar projects.
• Proficiency in Revit, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Experience with AutoCAD and Revit production software.
• Licensed or actively pursuing licensure.

Nice-to-haves

• Strong graphic presentation skills.
• Proficient with current building codes and agency review processes.
• Experience in sustainable design techniques/Green Building Code.
