About the position

The Architectural Designer III at Ruhnau Clarke Architects will play a crucial role in the design and development of various architectural projects, particularly in educational and public use facilities. This position involves producing design presentation materials, assisting in the documentation of construction documents, and coordinating technical aspects of projects with minimal supervision. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in architectural design techniques and technology, with a willingness to expand their knowledge in the field.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the design and development of architectural projects.
• Produce design presentation materials.
• Assist in the production and documentation of construction documents.
• Coordinate technical aspects of projects with minimal supervision.
• Check contracts, documents, and technical specifications for accuracy.
• Communicate with consultants and the construction department.
• Supervise and/or review the technical work of Designer I and Designer II.
• Perform non-routine assignments of substantial variety and complexity.
• Assist in the development of project marketing interview materials.

Requirements

• Prefer professional degree in architecture (B. Arch, M. Arch) or equivalent experience.
• Requires 4-5 years' experience in design, preferably in K-12 educational facilities, higher education facilities, public use projects, residential, hotel or retail projects.
• Proficiency in Revit, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office Suite, AutoCAD, and Revit production software.
• Licensed or actively pursuing licensure in architecture.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with sustainable design techniques/Green Building Code.
• Strong graphic presentation skills.
• Ability to lead and delegate team tasks effectively.
