About the position

The position involves working as an architectural professional at LEO A DALY, a leader in the design of the built environment. The role focuses on researching and identifying architectural requirements, performing BIM modeling, and participating in multidisciplinary coordination. The candidate will assist in site investigations, prepare architectural graphics and design presentations, and engage in client communications throughout various project stages. The position emphasizes collaboration, creativity, and a commitment to sustainable design solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Researches and identifies project-appropriate architectural requirements
  • Performs BIM modeling and detailing
  • Participates in cross-discipline discussions and coordination with multidisciplinary teammates
  • Assists to conduct site investigations and observations
  • Assists to prepare narratives, architectural graphics, design presentations, drawing and specification documents in accordance with a high degree of quality, yet with regard to project schedule and budget constraints
  • Travel for project related activities relative to existing building assessments/investigations, client meetings, or construction jobsite observations may be required
  • Attends client meetings and communicates with clients, consultants, contractors, and others during various states of project development
  • Participate in the design, selection, coordination and detailing of architectural solutions
  • Translate conceptual ideas into architectural graphics and prepare design presentations to communicate ideas to clients
  • Analyze design concept of buildings and space in 2D/3D and create design presentations using freehand sketches, 2D/3D modeling and rendering software
  • Assist in preparation of proposals, reports and findings
  • Assist in the production of technical drawings

Requirements

  • 6 years experience
  • Experience hand sketching, 3D modeling and drafting
  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Architecture from an accredited college or university
  • Proficiency with computer software including Revit Architecture required
  • Strong graphic, verbal, and written communication skills required
  • Time management and organization skills with the ability to manage multiple projects

Nice-to-haves

  • Aviation project experience preferred
  • Working knowledge of Sketch-Up and Adobe Creative Suite/ Bluebeam preferred
