The Architect / Architectural Project Manager position at Actalent requires a candidate who is capable of working both as part of a project team and independently, while benefiting from the support and resources of a large, experienced team of design professionals. The role offers a dynamic opportunity to work across various disciplines within the architecture and engineering (A/E) industry, engaging in a diverse array of projects across multiple market segments. As a project manager, the individual will be responsible for providing direction to the project team, scheduling tasks, assessing project budgets, and ensuring that deliverable milestones are met. The candidate will manage small teams of architects, designers, and draftspeople, and will participate in the conceptual development of project designs and drawings for design presentations. Additionally, the role includes assisting with referendum planning efforts for various Board of Educations and preparing necessary project forms. The candidate will also be required to visit job sites to survey existing conditions, develop existing condition plans, take photographs, and prepare field memos to document observations. Furthermore, the preparation of project reports, cost estimates, feasibility studies, and other documents required for various project phases will be part of the responsibilities. The candidate will also prepare and develop architectural schematic designs and construction documents using REVIT and AutoCAD, while communicating and coordinating with design team members, architects, senior management, and other stakeholders throughout all phases of the design and construction process. Attendance at various meetings, including pre-design, plan review, and pre-construction meetings, is also expected.
