About the position

The Senior ICT Engineer at WeWork is responsible for the deployment of IT, AV, and security infrastructure across WeWork locations. This role involves delivering projects, confirming requirements, managing budgets, procuring services, and ensuring compliance with WeWork's technology standards. The engineer will work cross-functionally with various internal stakeholders to drive larger scale technology infrastructure projects, ensuring that all legal documentation is completed and that projects are delivered on time and within budget.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver IT/AV & Security projects for WeWork locations.
  • Confirm IT/AV & Security requirements for projects and ensure all design is to latest product/technical standards.
  • Work cross functionally to drive larger scale technology infrastructure projects with internal stakeholders.
  • Budget projects to latest Building Technology standards.
  • Procure services for Cabling, IT, AV, Security, ISP & Cellular services as required for projects.
  • Review vendor quotes for BOM/Service accuracy and price comparison/value for money.
  • Complete Room Readiness checklist and ensure IT Closets are ready for rack installs.
  • Create, maintain & communicate project plans & RAID logs, Punch Lists & Vendor Quality/Standards Adherence.
  • Work closely with Technology Design and Development teams to ensure project scope and timelines are coordinated.
  • Support planning and implementation of capital improvement projects and hardware refreshes.
  • Investigate new partnerships and ensure no risks to the business with gaps in coverage or diversity of competition.
  • Ensure all legal documentation relating to vendors is completed and filed appropriately.
  • Ensure all tendering and appointing is done in line with WeWork Policy.
  • Review tenders and price comparison for large scale projects.
  • Manage technology related construction and escalation including reports and failures.
  • Work with global team to roll out new processes & standards.
  • Champion Building Technology Standards and suggest improvements for future iterations.
  • Ensure smooth handover of documentation & runbooks to Technology Operations and Security teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering or Information Technology.
  • Technical subject matter expert in at least two of: Cabling, Active IT/Network, Audio-Visual, Security.
  • Experience in producing coordinated Low Voltage and/or Telecommunications construction documents.
  • Broad knowledge of low voltage infrastructure and structured cabling.
  • Extensive experience in programme management and construction project delivery.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting floor plans and technical drawings.
  • Understanding of the design and construction of IT Closets, MDF and Electrical Equipment Rooms.
  • Experience in project completion and turnover for low voltage systems.
  • Understanding of network architecture and information security compliance.
