As a mid-level Architectural Designer within Jacobs Advanced Facilities - Electronics group, you will play a pivotal role in designing state-of-the-art microelectronics facilities, data centers, and other advanced industrial and commercial facilities that are essential for our increasingly virtual world. This position is hybrid, based in Portland, OR, allowing you to engage with a collaborative team while also having the flexibility to work remotely. In this role, you will be responsible for performing architectural design assignments using established methods and standards. You will engage with clients and subcontractors to create interior space layouts and develop the exterior appearance and detailing of advanced facilities. Responsibilities

  • Perform architectural design assignments using prescribed methods and standards.
  • Engage with clients and subcontractors to design interior space layouts and exterior appearances of advanced facilities.
  • Collaborate with team members to develop design capabilities and communication skills.
  • Utilize computer-based 3D modeling and illustration tools to create design concepts.
  • Participate in mentorship opportunities to enhance professional growth.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture from an accredited program.
  • 2-5 years of architecture experience required.
  • Proficiency in Revit 3D modeling.
  • Experience with SketchUp, Adobe Suite, InDesign, and Navisworks.
  • Effective communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work on-site in Portland, OR.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with building codes and specifications.
  • Industrial design experience in advanced facilities such as semiconductor or data centers.
  • LEED accreditation.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
