About the position

Actalent, a full-service Architecture and Interior Design firm located in Chicago, is seeking an Architectural Designer to join their team for a temporary position slated for six months, with the potential for extension. This role is crucial in assisting on various projects from the pre-design phase through to the construction document phase. The Architectural Designer will report directly to the Project Manager and Project Architect, ensuring that all project document sets are produced accurately and efficiently. The successful candidate will be responsible for picking up redlines and producing comprehensive project document sets across a variety of projects. Collaboration with internal project teams is essential to ensure that the document sets meet client expectations. The role may also involve participation in client meetings, providing an opportunity to engage directly with clients and contribute to the overall project success. Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or an equivalent qualification, with a minimum of five years of post-graduate experience at a traditional architecture firm. It is important to note that internship experience does not count towards this requirement. While previous experience in healthcare projects is preferred, experience in multi-family or office projects is also considered transferable. Proficiency in Revit is essential, as the candidate must be able to produce full project document sets with little to no supervision. Familiarity with Bluebeam, Sketchup, and Enscape is a plus, and while licensure is beneficial, it is not a requirement for this position.
