About the position

Parsons is seeking Architectural Designers for its Transportation Infrastructure projects. This role involves working on large-scale transportation projects, including the Inglewood Transit Corridor and Light Rail Line in Seattle. Designers will create architectural designs, specifications, and working drawings under the guidance of a licensed Architect, contributing to projects that enhance urban mobility and quality of life.

Responsibilities

• Produces Revit models, renderings, layouts, and construction documents for architectural or interior design tasks.
• Utilizes technical manuals to ensure compliance with required codes and standards.
• Compiles data and performs dimensional and routine calculations for drawings and design layouts.
• Coordinates work with engineering and construction units at project sites.
• Prepares and issues detailed design and construction drawings and specifications as approved.
• Conducts architectural studies, develops design concepts, and prepares reports for review by a licensed Architect.
• Provides technical guidance to lower-level Architectural Designer/Drafters working on the same project.
• Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in architecture or interior design (or equivalent).
• 2 years or more of relevant experience is typical and preferred.
• Experience working with BIM and Revit is required.
• Working knowledge of architectural and/or interior design standards, practices, and techniques.
• Demonstrated proficiency in sketching, rendering, model building, and presentation drawing.
• Proficiency in CAD and other PC software packages typically associated with architectural and interior design.
