About the position

A well-established and growing architecture firm in Salt Lake City is seeking an Architectural Designer to take full ownership of projects from conception to completion. This role involves managing multiple architecture projects, ensuring that they are scheduled, planned, and executed effectively. The ideal candidate will utilize design software to create sketches and detailed drawings of proposed projects while adhering to state and local regulations regarding architecture. Effective communication with staff, clients, and principals is essential to thrive in this position, as is the ability to foster a culture of accountability and meet expected deadlines. The firm is looking for someone who is detail-oriented and can spot and rectify potential design flaws, ensuring high-quality outcomes for all projects.

Responsibilities

• Schedule, plan, manage and execute multiple architecture projects.
• Use software to design, sketch and provide drawings of proposed projects.
• Understand state and local regulations regarding architecture.
• Effectively communicate information to staff, clients, and principals.
• Promote a culture of accountability and meet expected deadlines.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in architecture or related field.
• 5-10 years of experience in architectural design.
• Licensure in the state preferred.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, or SketchUP.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to spot and fix potential design flaws.
• Ability to generate and deliver reports to stakeholders and team members.
