About the position

A well-established, growing architecture firm is seeking an architectural designer who will take full ownership of projects from conception to finishing details. The ideal candidate will be responsible for scheduling, planning, managing, and executing multiple architecture projects. This role requires proficiency in using design software to create sketches and provide detailed drawings of proposed projects. The architectural designer must have a strong understanding of state and local regulations regarding architecture to ensure compliance throughout the project lifecycle. Effective communication is essential, as the designer will need to relay information to staff, clients, and principals, fostering a culture of accountability and meeting expected deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Schedule, plan, manage and execute multiple architecture projects.
  • Use software to design, sketch and provide drawings of proposed projects.
  • Understand state and local regulations regarding architecture.
  • Effectively communicate information to staff, clients, and principals.
  • Promote a culture of accountability and meet expected deadlines.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in architecture or related field.
  • 5-10 years of experience in architectural design.
  • Licensure in the state preferred.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, or SketchUP.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to spot and fix potential design flaws.
  • Ability to generate and deliver reports to stakeholders and team members.
