About the position

We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Architectural Designer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong aesthetic sense and a passion for transforming spaces into functional and visually appealing environments. As an Architectural Designer, you will work closely with clients to understand their needs and preferences, developing innovative design solutions that reflect their unique style. This role is critical in Jasper Lumber Company's design build sector.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with clients to determine their design preferences, requirements, and budget constraints.
• Create detailed design plans primarily using Revit and sometimes AutoCAD.
• Draft floor plans, elevations, and 3D renderings to present design concepts effectively.
• Select appropriate materials, furnishings, color palettes, and lighting solutions based on color theory principles.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously while ensuring timelines and budgets are met.
• Coordinate with project managers, contractors, architects, and vendors to ensure successful project execution.
• Conduct site visits to assess project progress and make necessary adjustments.
• Stay updated on industry trends, materials, and technologies to provide innovative design solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Architectural Design or a related field is preferred.
• Proficiency in design software including AutoCAD and Revit.
• Strong understanding of color theory and lighting sales techniques.
• Excellent project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
• Strong communication skills to collaborate with clients and team members.
• A keen eye for detail and a strong sense of aesthetics.
• 5+ years of experience in Architectural design or related fields is preferred but not mandatory.
• A portfolio showcasing your design projects is preferred for consideration.
• General construction knowledge is preferred, but not required.
• General knowledge of Construction Standards and Indiana Building Codes.
• Ability to work and communicate with licensed Architectural firms.
