FORTIFIED is seeking Architectural Designers with 1-4 years of professional experience to join their team in Rochester, NY. This role can be either full-time or part-time and involves working closely with project managers and the firm principal to develop architectural projects from concept to realization. The position emphasizes strong design skills and offers opportunities for professional advancement within a fast-growing architecture and design practice.

Responsibilities

• Develop projects from concept to realization.
• Generate design studies and production documents.
• Represent projects for presentation.
• Engage in the entire range of the office's creative workflow including sketching, design, digital modeling, rendering, drafting, BIM, and construction administration.

Requirements

• B Arch or M Arch Degree
• 1-4 years of professional architecture experience
• Proficiency in construction documentation using AutoCAD and Revit
• Ability to model in Sketchup
• Knowledge of rendering software such as Enscape or Photoshop post-production skills
• Strong design skills and aesthetic sensibilities
• Critical thinking skills and passion for architecture.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with adaptive reuse projects
• Familiarity with net-zero building design
• Knowledge of mixed-use development.
