About the position

The Architectural Designer will be responsible for the development and management of scope for Capital Projects, including inspection, assessment, and preparation of design documentation. This role involves selecting and managing outside design consultants, executing the permit and bidding process, and providing design support during construction.

Responsibilities

• Development of scope for Capital Projects including inspection, assessment, and preliminary design preparation.
• Selection and management of outside Design Consultant, including preparing RFPs and approving design proposals.
• Execution of the permit, advertisement, and bidding process, including preparing bid specifications and meeting prospective contractors.
• Providing design support during construction.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture from a NAAB accredited institution.
• Architectural license in Pennsylvania (Preferred but not required).
• A minimum of seven (7) years of professional experience in residential, commercial, and public buildings and facilities' design, construction, and assessment.
• Working knowledge of Building Codes.
• Ability to write technical documents and communicate technical concepts to non-industry professionals.
• Proficient in the use of AutoCAD Architecture 2020 or higher, Microsoft Office, and Sketch-up.
