About the position

The Architectural Designer will be responsible for detailing, organizing, and coordinating technical designs to successfully execute architectural projects, primarily focusing on municipal and federal projects. This role involves working on 1-2 projects valued between $20-30 million, with a significant emphasis on local Department of Defense (DOD) projects. The designer will perform basic architectural tasks, prepare and review drawings, and assist in mentoring junior staff while ensuring projects are completed within approved schedules and budgets.

Responsibilities

• Detail, organize, and coordinate technical designs for architectural projects.
• Perform basic architectural tasks including calculations, specifications, and reports.
• Prepare, review, and approve drawings as required.
• Independently perform advanced technical assignments of various complexities under the direction of the Supervising Architect.
• Coordinate technical and administrative activities with employees in other disciplines and departments.
• Assist in the training and mentoring of architectural and design/drafting personnel.
• Review and approve conceptual designs.
• Assist in the development of new architectural methods and techniques.

Requirements

• Create construction document sets in Revit.
• Experience in the design of large commercial buildings.
• Licensed architect with 4-6 years of experience.
