AtkinsRéalis is seeking an Architectural Designer with 3-5 years of professional experience to join our growing team in Denver, CO. As an Architectural Designer, you will play a crucial role in our projects, contributing to the design and documentation processes that are essential for our infrastructure planning and engineering services. In this role, you will perform site and field work, including site investigations and existing facility inventory. You will develop designs and sketches into Revit-based construction documents and maintain and coordinate project BIM models. Your ability to analyze information and propose effective solutions will be key to your success. You will also utilize advanced presentation software to create renderings and animations, ensuring that your assignments are completed efficiently and accurately. Regular communication with the team and providing status reports to Senior Architects and Project Managers will be part of your responsibilities. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of building codes, materials, and construction methods, along with excellent time management and organizational skills. You should be able to work on multiple projects simultaneously and adapt to different roles as needed. Responsibilities

  • Perform site and field work including site investigations and existing facility inventory.
  • Develop designs and sketches into Revit-based construction documents.
  • Maintain and coordinate project BIM model and ensure adherence to construction document standards.
  • Utilize Sketch-Up and advanced presentation software to create renderings and animations.
  • Complete assignments efficiently and in a timely, accurate, and complete manner.
  • Communicate regularly with the team and stay within the hours budgeted for tasks assigned.
  • Provide Senior Architects / Project Managers with status reports of progress on architectural documents.
  • Demonstrate working knowledge of building codes and construction methods.
  • Manage multiple projects or issues simultaneously and remain flexible to different roles and assignments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or other professional degree in architecture with 3-5 years' experience.
  • Proficiency in Revit and other CAD platforms.
  • Proficiency in Sketchup and Lumion (or other rendering platform).
  • Strong communication and technical writing skills.
  • Architectural curiosity and a dedication to the craft of architectural design and documentation.
  • A strong desire for technical development and a commitment to providing a high level of client service.
