The Architectural Designer will perform all phases of architectural work including planning, designing, and reviewing construction. This role is involved in new building designs, extensions, alterations, restorations, and conservations from the earliest stages through to completion. The Designer's goal is to match clients' needs and to produce sustainable, functional, and aesthetically pleasing designs. The Architectural Designer will control projects from start to finish to ensure high quality, innovative, and functional design. They may be asked to assist with scope and to identify clients' needs, putting together feasibility reports and design proposals. The Designer will develop ideas keeping in mind the client's needs, the building's usage, and environmental impact. They will produce detailed construction documents and make any necessary corrections, compiling project specifications when requested. The Designer must keep within budgets and timelines, ensuring that all work is carried out to specific standards, building codes, guidelines, and regulations. On-site visits will be required to check on project status and report on progress. The Designer will also follow architectural trends and advancements, and perform other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Keep within budgets and timelines, ensuring compliance with specific standards, building codes, guidelines, and regulations.
• Make on-site visits to check on project status and report on progress.
• Follow architectural trends and advancements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor's and Master's degree in Architecture or equivalent combination of Bachelor's degree and 3+ years of experience.
• Industrial or commercial experience required.
• Proven working experience as an Architect.
• Ability to obtain licensure in the state of KY.
• Must be eligible for work in the United States.
• Strong portfolio skills.
• Expert knowledge of building products, construction details, and relevant rules, regulations, and quality standards.
• Excellent drawing skills and familiarity with design software (Adobe Photoshop, SketchUp, 3D Studio VIZ or similar).
• Experience with Revit required.
• Ability to think and create in three dimensions.
• Strong attention to detail.
