About the position

An Engineering firm in Reno, Nevada is seeking highly qualified candidates for the position of Architectural Designer. The role involves applying architectural fundamentals and utilizing a broad set of architectural design tools to solve technical problems and create innovative detailed designs for a wide range of building systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing architectural design packages that are suitable for permitting and construction. This includes reviewing and developing designs that are cost-effective, constructible, and compliant with building codes while adhering to project schedules. The Architectural Designer must be adept at prioritizing and managing workloads across multiple projects to ensure high quality and productivity. A minimum of 2 years of architectural design experience is required, along with excellent communication skills that are essential for effective teamwork. Proficiency in various computer programs, including Microsoft Office Suite, Bluebeam, AutoCAD, and Revit, is necessary. The candidate should be capable of completing detailed models, coordinating disciplines, creating schedules and details, working in work sets, and creating families in Revit. Experience in construction coordination is considered an asset, as is knowledge of preparing architectural contract drawings and specifications. Responsibilities

  • Apply architectural fundamentals and design tools to solve technical problems.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of architectural design experience.
