About the position

We are seeking an Architectural Designer for an exciting opportunity based in Seattle, Washington. This role will involve the development and execution of innovative store designs that enhance the customer experience, align with our brand vision, and foster community and connection. The successful candidate will use their expertise in architecture and interior design to translate our brand identity into physical spaces, particularly within the retail and hospitality sectors. This is a contract to hire employment opportunity.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the design process for new store concepts, focusing on functionality and aesthetics in retail and hospitality environments.
• Stay updated with trends in retail and hospitality design, using this information to inform store design strategies that resonate with our diverse customer base.
• Ensure all new store designs reflect our brand identity and values, working closely with marketing and brand teams to align design concepts with promotional initiatives and campaigns.
• Utilize design software to create detailed 3D models and visualizations to enhance the customer journey and engagement.
• Work collaboratively with architects, contractors, and other design professionals to support the implementation of store designs, ensuring quality, functionality, and adherence to design specifications.
• Understand and apply the principles of retail and hospitality design, space planning, and customer experience.
• Develop innovative design solutions that enhance customer experience.
• Use a proactive and collaborative mindset to work effectively in team settings.
• Understand and implement sustainability practices in design and construction.
• Use design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Enscape, Rhino 3D, Adobe Creative Suite, and 3D modeling tools effectively.

Requirements

• Hold a degree in Architecture or a related field
• Possess strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders
• Have experience in marketing in order to promote design concepts effectively
• Must be able to ensure quality in design execution and implementation
• Experience in making presentations to clients and stakeholders
• Have experience in retail design, understanding the nuances of brand awareness
• Ability to implement design practices in a real-world setting
• Have a strong understanding of construction practices and principles
• Proficient in graphic design, specifically in creating design concepts for architectural projects
• Experience in campaign planning and execution
• Knowledge of video production for marketing and presentation purposes
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud, AutoCAD, and 3D Modeling software
• Ability to translate design concepts into reality through different modeling techniques
• Experience in creating editorial content for marketing or presentation purposes
• Understanding of corporate identity and its impact on design
• Familiarity with Mindset Software
• Knowledge of sustainability practices in architecture and trend analysis
• Have a strong portfolio demonstrating past design projects and accomplishments.
