About the position

As an Architectural Designer at Lamar Johnson Collaborative (LJC), you will play a crucial role in contributing to a variety of design projects within the Industrial Design practice. This position involves collaborating with a multi-disciplinary design team to deliver projects from concept through to completion, while also enhancing client relationships and supporting the growth of LJC's Kansas City presence.

Responsibilities

• Deliver projects from design concept through final completion of deliverables and submissions with high quality.
• Conduct analysis of various data sets and develop design and urban planning concepts.
• Create project presentations and documentation.
• Coordinate with a multi-disciplinary design team.
• Assist with project management and serve as a key client liaison.
• Provide technical assistance on planning, regulatory environment, urban design, and site design.
• Attend meetings with public and private-sector clients, including governmental entities.
• Represent LJC in the community and at civic events.
• Develop civic and public engagement tools and processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture or a related field.
• 3+ years of relevant, demonstrable experience.
• Competence with AutoCAD, Revit, Adobe Creative Suite, GIS, and 3D modeling tools.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Competent presentation skills.
• Understanding of design thinking delivery and implementation.
