About the position

Actalent, a full-service Architecture and Interior Design firm located in Chicago, is seeking an Architectural Designer to join their team. This position will involve working closely with the Project Manager and Project Architect on various projects, contributing to the design and documentation processes. The Architectural Designer will be responsible for picking up redlines and producing comprehensive project document sets across a variety of projects. This role requires collaboration with internal project teams to ensure that the document sets align with client expectations and project requirements. The designer will engage in projects from the pre-design phase through to the construction document phase, ensuring a seamless transition and adherence to project timelines. Additionally, the designer may participate in client meetings alongside project teams, providing insights and updates on project progress.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Project Manager and Project Architect on various projects.
• Pick up redlines and produce project document sets for a variety of projects.
• Collaborate with internal project teams to ensure document sets meet client expectations.
• Work on projects from the pre-design phase through the construction document phase.
• Participate in client meetings with project teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture or equivalent is required.
• 5 or more years of experience at a traditional architecture firm.
• Previous healthcare project experience is preferred; multi-family or office project experience is transferrable.
• Ability to produce full project document sets in Revit with little to no supervision.
• Proficiency in Bluebeam, Sketchup, and Enscape is a plus.
• Licensure is a plus, but not required.
