About the position

As an Architectural Designer at our reputable Architecture and Design Firm in San Diego, CA, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects that span across different sectors including Education K-12, Higher Education, Commercial, Municipal, Medical, and Religious. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about architecture and eager to contribute to a collaborative team environment. You will be involved in all phases of architectural projects, from conceptual design to construction documentation, ensuring that each project meets the highest standards of quality and compliance with relevant codes and regulations. In your role, you will work closely with the Project Architect to prepare conceptual designs, design development, schematic drawings, and construction documents using industry-standard software such as AutoCAD and Revit. Your responsibilities will include performing architectural drawing revisions based on feedback, reviewing design documents, and assisting in the coordination of engineering consultants. You will also be responsible for liaising with manufacturers, vendors, and regulatory agencies to ensure that project objectives are met efficiently and effectively. This position requires a strong commitment to teamwork and excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. You will be expected to demonstrate technical proficiency in architectural detailing and documentation, as well as a proactive approach to problem-solving and project management. Responsibilities

  • Work with Project Architect in preparing conceptual, design development, schematic, and construction drawings using AutoCAD and Revit.
  • Perform architectural drawing and generate drawing revisions and corrections from redlined drawings.
  • Review design documents and construction estimates.
  • Assist in coordinating with engineering consultants and coordinating documents with Civil, MEP, and Structural drawings.
  • Work with manufacturers, vendors, and regulatory agencies to meet overall project objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Architecture required.
  • 3-5 years of professional experience in all phases of architectural projects.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit is required.
  • Strong technical, code and detailing skills for quality documentation.
  • Enthusiastic commitment to the team environment.
  • Proactive written and verbal communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in Education K-12, Higher Education, Commercial, Municipal, Medical, Religious preferred.
