About the position

Sumer Innovations is seeking an Architectural Designer to join our remote building design and business networking platform. Our mission is to foster a sustainable construction industry through collaboration and innovative technology. As an Architectural Designer, you will be connected to a global network of designers and listed on our local referral network. You will be matched with clients based on your expertise and availability, allowing you to work independently or in collaboration with other professionals. This position is ideal for small business owners, independent contractors, and full-time employees seeking side income. Compensation is project-based, aligning with market demand and your availability, starting at $50 per hour. In this role, you will develop design concepts and plans by closely working with clients to understand their needs and preferences. You will create detailed drawings and 3D models using computer-aided design (CAD) software, including floor plans, elevations, sections, and details. Collaboration is key, as you will work with architects, engineers, and other design professionals to ensure that the design meets all technical requirements and is feasible to build. Site visits and inspections may also be part of your responsibilities to ensure that the design is being implemented according to plan and to make any necessary adjustments. Effective communication with clients is essential, as you will regularly update them on the design process and ensure their needs and preferences are being met. To succeed in this role, you must possess strong design skills, proficiency in CAD software, knowledge of building codes and regulations, and excellent communication and collaboration skills. Attention to detail and the ability to work under tight deadlines are also crucial for this position.

Responsibilities

  • Develop design concepts and plans based on client needs and preferences.

Requirements
