About the position

Weddle Gilmore Architects is seeking full-time Architects or Architectural Designers for their Arizona Studio located in downtown Scottsdale. This role involves collaborating with Project Leads to develop design solutions through graphic presentations, 3D renderings, and construction drawings. The position emphasizes participation in planning, design, illustration, and providing technical documents for various projects, while also supporting marketing efforts and business development as needed.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Project Leads to develop design solutions.
• Produce graphic presentations, 3D renderings, and construction drawings.
• Participate in planning, design, illustration, and technical documentation for projects.
• Assist with marketing efforts and business development as workload permits.

Requirements

• Professional degree in architecture from an NAAB accredited program.
• 2-6 years of experience in architecture.
• At least 1 year of post-graduate, professional firm experience desired (internships may be considered).
• Strong graphic, conceptual, and design skills.
• Ability to create new ideas independently and collaboratively.
• Experience in early design phases, such as concept design and schematic design.
• Interest in sustainable design and knowledge of building codes, standards, and construction.
• Ability to communicate ideas in various graphic media (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
• Strong rendering skills (knowledge of Rhino, SketchUp, Enscape).
• Proficiency with Revit and/or CAD.
