About the position

The Architectural Designer at Greenfield Architects is responsible for drawing production and ensuring projects meet established standards and client expectations. This role requires collaboration with team members and outside design firms, focusing on technical skills, building code compliance, and project management.

Responsibilities

• Assimilate written project basis of design direction, detailed drawings, and verbal/written instructions to perform assigned tasks.
• Responsible for drawing production utilizing Revit.
• Coordinate with the design team including outside design firms and inside resources.
• Prepare scale drawings and contract documents for bidding to general contractors, while ensuring standards are met.
• Perform assigned tasks in a timely manner, within the budgeted hours, as assigned by the Project Architect.
• Assist the Project Architect with assessing project submittals and shop drawings for compliance with the construction documents.
• Provide input on code research and implement Accessibility Standards within project documents.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience within an architectural firm.
• Bachelor's Degree in Architecture preferred, or a recognized Branch of Architectural Engineering under a curriculum accredited by the NAAB and NCARB, or a two-year degree from a technical college with 12 years of work experience within an architectural firm.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
• Proven abilities in Revit required.
• Skills in creating 3-D renderings a plus.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work with inside and outside teams.
• History of active follow up and excellent time management.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Accessibility Standards and implementing the requirements within project documents.
