About the position

The Architectural Designer position is a contract role based in Bound Brook, NJ, offering a pay range of $38 to $45 per hour. This position is designed for an experienced project designer or architect with a strong background in retail and restaurant design. The contract duration is expected to be between 6 to 12 months, with a standard work schedule of Monday to Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM. The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in Architecture and have at least 8 years of experience as an architectural designer, specifically focusing on single-family residential and commercial fit-outs. The role requires proficiency in Revit, and familiarity with Enscape is considered a plus. Candidates should also have a good understanding of US building systems and be familiar with tools such as Forte or Vitruvius. The ability to perform initial zoning analysis and knowledge of building codes is essential. Additionally, familiarity with AutoCAD, Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign is required to effectively execute design projects.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop architectural plans for retail and restaurant projects.
• Conduct initial zoning analysis and ensure compliance with building codes.
• Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to understand project requirements and objectives.
• Utilize Revit for creating detailed architectural designs and models.
• Work with AutoCAD and other design software to produce high-quality drawings and presentations.
• Participate in project meetings and provide updates on design progress.
• Ensure that all designs meet industry standards and regulations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture.
• 8 to 10 years of experience as an architectural designer.
• Proficiency in Revit and familiarity with Enscape is a plus.
