About the position

As an Architectural Designer at our reputable Architecture and Design Firm in San Jose, CA, you will play a crucial role in the development and execution of architectural projects across various sectors including Education K-12, Higher Education, Commercial, Municipal, Medical, and Religious. This position offers a unique opportunity to work closely with a Project Architect, contributing to the preparation of conceptual designs, design development, schematic designs, and construction drawings utilizing industry-standard software such as AutoCAD and Revit. Your expertise will be essential in ensuring that all architectural drawings are accurate and meet the necessary quality standards. In this role, you will be responsible for generating drawing revisions and corrections based on redlined drawings, reviewing design documents, and assisting in the preparation of construction estimates. You will also coordinate with engineering consultants and ensure that all documents align with Civil, MEP, and Structural drawings. Your ability to communicate effectively with manufacturers, vendors, and regulatory agencies will be vital in meeting the overall objectives of each project. Responsibilities

  • Prepare conceptual, design development, schematic, and construction drawings using AutoCAD and Revit.
  • Generate drawing revisions and corrections from redlined drawings.
  • Review design documents and construction estimates.
  • Assist in coordinating with engineering consultants and ensure alignment with Civil, MEP, and Structural drawings.
  • Work with manufacturers, vendors, and regulatory agencies to meet overall project objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Architecture required.
  • 3-5 years of professional experience in all phases of architectural projects.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit is required.
  • Strong technical, code, and detailing skills for quality documentation.
  • Proactive written and verbal communication skills.
