About the position

The Architectural Designer at Austin Building and Design, Inc. is responsible for independently performing a variety of assignments that require the application of standard architectural techniques for small projects or segments of larger projects. This role involves exercising independent judgment in evaluating and applying architectural design techniques, making minor design adaptations, and ensuring compliance with applicable codes. Responsibilities

• Prepares architectural working drawings such as wall sections, floor plans, elevations, etc.
• Analyzes design and construction systems, design layouts, and construction features.
• Researches, compiles, and records information for assigned project work ensuring compliance with applicable codes.
• Assists in the preparation of project specifications.
• Conducts site and construction inspections for information gathering purposes, preparing interpretive reports for review and approval.

Requirements

• 5-year degree in Architecture
• 1 - 3 years' related experience
• Ability to exercise independent judgment in architectural design techniques
• Proficient in preparing architectural working drawings and project specifications.
