About the position

The Architectural Designer position at an established architecture firm in Akron involves participating in the preparation of architectural presentations, construction drawings, and documents for a variety of projects. The firm emphasizes internal growth and mentorship, providing a supportive environment for aspiring architects.

Responsibilities

• Work with Project Architect in preparing conceptual, design development, schematic, and construction drawings using Revit
• Perform architectural drawing and generate drawing revisions and corrections from redlined drawings
• Review design documents and construction estimates
• Assist in coordinating with engineering consultants and coordinating documents with Civil, MEP, and Structural drawings
• Work with manufacturers, vendors, and regulatory agencies to meet overall project objectives

Requirements

• 1+ year of Architectural experience
• Degree in Architecture required
• Experienced in using Revit Required
• Knowledge of the design process, building codes, building materials, and construction techniques
• Ability to problem solve individually and as part of a team
• Provide portfolio or samples of work in AutoCAD and Revit formats
