At Drees Homes, we value integrity, excellence, opportunity, stability, and success, and we are looking for an Architectural Designer to join our Corporate Architecture Department in Fort Mitchell, KY. In this role, the Architectural Designer will be a collaborative team player who is passionate about residential design, drafting, and visualization. The Drees Architecture department plays a crucial role in the company, working closely with division clients to design, draft, and maintain innovative and market-responsive home designs. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for residential architecture and the creative process of design, as well as the technical skills to transform artistic elements into detailed construction drawings. The Architectural Designer will be responsible for completing accurate construction drawings and details, reviewing proposed designs for compliance with applicable codes, and completing independent assignments with minimal supervision. Responsibilities

  • Complete accurate construction drawings and details.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Architecture, Interior Design, or related field.
  • Master of Architecture is a plus.
  • Residential architecture work or coursework experience.
  • Understanding of architectural drafting and standards, including plans, elevations, sections, and details utilizing CAD and Revit software.
  • Proficiency with design visualization tools and rendering software to create renderings and visuals to communicate designs to clients and project stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of building codes, regulations, and construction methods.
  • Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on accuracy and precision.
  • Demonstrated creative thinking to solve design problems.
  • Positive attitude and self-motivated.
  • Strong time management skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet project deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
