About the position

Commonwealth Home Design is seeking a skilled Architect to join their award-winning team in Vienna, VA. The role involves designing exquisite and functional spaces, transforming client dreams into reality, and navigating local zoning regulations and design challenges. The Architect will work on a variety of projects, including new home designs, major remodels, and custom interior reconfigurations, contributing to the firm's reputation for exceptional home transformations.

Responsibilities

• Design home additions and renovations tailored to client needs.
• Prepare detailed, modelled Construction Documents using Revit.
• Collaborate with engineers, surveyors, permitting officials, and construction teams to ensure project accuracy and success.
• Draft reports, proposals, and contracts; adapt plans as necessary during the construction process.
• Meet with clients to understand their goals and requirements for each project.

Requirements

• A minimum of ten years of experience in Architectural Design.
• Proficiency in Revit and experienced in creating comprehensive architectural designs and construction documents.
• Familiarity with surveys/plats and zoning regulations and how they impact project designs.
• Familiar with structural engineering principles and how they impact designs.
• A keen eye for detail and a talent for both the creative and technical aspects of architecture.
• Ability to collaborate closely with clients and construction teams to deliver exceptional results.
