About the position
The Architectural Designer/Project Architect role at Actalent involves working on multi-family and commercial projects, focusing on renovation and restoration efforts primarily in New York City. The position requires a blend of design, drafting, and compliance responsibilities, with an emphasis on historic preservation and rehabilitation. The ideal candidate will be proficient in REVIT and AutoCAD, and will work in a hybrid environment that promotes collaboration and innovation.
Responsibilities
- Produce drawings and specifications for renovation and restoration projects.
- Design, detail, and draft plans for various architectural projects.
- Visit field sites to take measurements and site photographs of existing conditions.
- Ensure compliance with building codes, particularly for multi-family projects.
- Travel to field sites as needed for project requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Architecture or a similar field.
- Proficiency in REVIT and AutoCAD.
- Knowledge of historic preservation and rehabilitation.
- Working knowledge of construction document preparation.
Nice-to-haves
- Licensed Architect (preferred but not required).
- Experience with mixed-use and special needs housing projects.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
