About the position

The Architectural Designer will be a key member of the Planning and Architectural Design team at TAIT, responsible for leading the architectural design process from concept to execution. This role involves collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to create innovative architectural designs that align with project visions and objectives, ensuring high-quality outcomes while meeting aesthetic, functional, and budgetary requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the Lead Architectural Designer and planner on projects with minimal supervision.
  • Lead multiple projects simultaneously and coordinate with management on design demands.
  • Participate in guiding and coordinating architectural, show set, and interior design efforts.
  • Collaborate with all disciplines to achieve high-quality outcomes.
  • Present and participate in client-facing meetings and design charrettes.
  • Lead and assist in programming, spatial layout planning, and throughput within project spaces.
  • Prepare plans, graphic presentations, models for design studies, and design documents.
  • Travel for client presentations and site visits.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Urban Planning, Landscape Architecture, or a related major.
  • 5-10 years of experience in themed entertainment architectural design or related fields.
  • Substantial experience in the field or construction process, with a significant project portfolio from documentation to construction.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, Autodesk, Revit, Navisworks, Bluebeam Studio, and other relevant BIM software.
  • Experienced in Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp, Rhino, Lumion, V-ray, Powerpoint, Keynote, and Google Slides.
