About the position

The Architectural Designer position at Marin Architects P.C. involves contributing to innovative architectural projects by producing design and construction documents. The role requires a blend of technical and creative skills, with a focus on collaboration and independent work. The ideal candidate will have a passion for design and construction, and will be responsible for various project phases, ensuring high standards of quality and creativity.

Responsibilities

• Perform architectural assignments with general direction and work independently as well as collaboratively with others toward design solutions.
• Assist in developing design and technical solutions for projects in all phases, including graphics, renderings, physical modeling, and performance metrics.
• Assist in the project's narrative for meeting building performance goals, including metrics, verification, and design integration.
• Assist Project Managers (PMs) in task delegation to the project team.
• Communicate with consultants and clients to implement their goals in project deliverables.
• Create new and modify existing drawings in AutoCAD/REVIT in a timely manner and with efficiency.
• Carry out complex or novel assignments requiring the development of new or improved techniques or procedures.
• Enforce quality control internally and externally.
• Ensure project specifications and drawings are being adhered to and alert PMs of divergences.
• Anticipate and troubleshoot project-specific problems and participate in developing and implementing solutions.
• Keep up to date on building codes.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or master's degree in Architecture.
• 8-10+ years of professional experience.
• 5 years minimum experience in Revit / Sketchup.
• Excellent communicator (spoken and written).
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to work on multiple fast-paced projects simultaneously.
