About the position

This position is for an intermediate to senior-level high-end residential architectural designer at a renowned firm, focusing on a luxury single-family home project in the Hamptons. The home spans 6000 square feet and aims to blend modern and traditional architectural styles. The designer will be involved from the early schematic design phase and will participate in every aspect of the home's design process. The role requires a commitment to in-office work five days a week at the firm's location in lower Manhattan, with some flexibility to work three days in-office and two days remotely, depending on the candidate's needs and the project's progress. The ideal candidate will possess strong proficiency in Revit modeling and have experience in creating high-quality 3D visualizations. They will be responsible for producing weekly client presentations under the guidance of the Project Architect and will actively participate in internal design meetings. This role is designed for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment, as the office culture encourages hands-on involvement and influence in the design of projects. The position is a contract role lasting 3-4 months, with the potential for extension or transition to a full-time position.

Responsibilities

• Work on the design of a luxury 6000 sq ft home in the Hamptons.
• Participate in the early schematic design phase and all aspects of the home's design.
• Produce weekly client presentations under the direction of the Project Architect.
• Attend and participate in internal design meetings.
• Utilize Revit for modeling and 3D visualizations.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in high-end single-family residential design.
• Proficiency in Revit, including sheets, families, design options, views, and presentations.
• Experience in schematic design and design development.
