About the position

Tecton Architects is seeking an Architectural Designer for their Hartford, CT studio. This full-time, hybrid role is ideal for an emerging professional with a passion for impactful design. The position involves collaboration within a team to deliver quality architectural solutions, emphasizing design development and technical execution.

Responsibilities

• Collaborating on and contributing to project design development, documentation, and construction administration.
• Performing daily design, BIM modeling, programming, and technical development of a project.
• Investigating, evaluating, and recommending design solutions that best meet client needs.
• Independently applying architectural design concepts and producing materials to convey those concepts to the team, client, and contractor.

Requirements

• A Bachelor's Degree in Architecture is required.
• 2-5 years of experience in a professional setting are required, including internships and work placements.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience using Revit in an academic or professional setting is required.
• Fluency in design technology software, specifically REVIT, is required.
• A portfolio demonstrating a high level of skill in design thinking and presentation media is required.

Nice-to-haves

• Sustainability accreditation is preferred.
• Advanced Revit knowledge is preferred.
