About the position

Weddle Gilmore Architects is seeking full-time Architects or Architectural Designers for their Arizona Studio located in downtown Scottsdale. The role involves collaborating with Project Leads to develop design solutions, producing graphic presentations, 3D renderings, and construction drawings. The position emphasizes a flexible and adaptable methodology, focusing on sustainability and high-quality design work.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Project Leads to develop design solutions.
• Produce graphic presentations, 3D renderings, and construction drawings.
• Participate in planning, design, illustration, and presentation.
• Provide technical documents for projects.
• Support marketing efforts and business development as workload permits.

Requirements

• Professional degree in architecture from an NAAB accredited program.
• 2-6 years of experience in architecture, with at least 1 year of post-graduate professional firm experience desired.
• Strong graphic, conceptual, and design skills.
• Ability to create new ideas independently and collaboratively.
• Experience in early design phases, such as concept design and schematic design.
• Interest in sustainable design and knowledge of building codes, standards, and construction.
• Ability to communicate ideas in various graphic media including Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
• Strong rendering skills with knowledge of Rhino, SketchUp, and Enscape.
• Proficiency with Revit and/or CAD.
