About the position

As an Architectural Designer at our reputable Architecture and Design Firm in Dallas, TX, you will play a crucial role in the development and execution of various architectural projects. This position is ideal for individuals who are passionate about design and eager to contribute to a collaborative team environment. You will work closely with the Project Architect to prepare a range of architectural documents, including conceptual designs, design development, schematic drawings, and construction drawings, utilizing industry-standard software such as AutoCAD and Revit. Your expertise will be essential in ensuring that all documentation meets the highest standards of quality and compliance with relevant codes and regulations. In this role, you will be responsible for performing architectural drawing tasks, generating revisions, and making corrections based on redlined drawings. You will also review design documents and construction estimates to ensure accuracy and feasibility. A significant part of your responsibilities will involve coordinating with engineering consultants and integrating their documents with Civil, MEP, and Structural drawings. This collaborative effort is vital to achieving the overall project objectives and ensuring that all aspects of the design are harmoniously aligned. Additionally, you will engage with manufacturers, vendors, and regulatory agencies to facilitate project progress and compliance. Your proactive communication skills, both written and verbal, will be instrumental in fostering effective collaboration within the team and with external partners. This position offers a unique opportunity to work on diverse projects across various sectors, including Education (K-12 and Higher Education), Commercial, Municipal, Medical, and Religious facilities, allowing you to expand your experience and expertise in the architectural field.

Responsibilities

  • Work with Project Architect in preparing conceptual, design development, schematic, and construction drawings using AutoCAD and Revit.
  • Perform architectural drawing and generate drawing revisions and corrections from redlined drawings.
  • Review design documents and construction estimates.
  • Assist in coordinating with engineering consultants and coordinating documents with Civil, MEP, and Structural drawings.
  • Work with manufacturers, vendors, and regulatory agencies to meet overall project objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Architecture required.
  • 3-5 years of professional experience in all phases of architectural projects.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit is required.
  • Strong technical, code and detailing skills for quality documentation.
  • Enthusiastic commitment to the team environment.
  • Proactive written and verbal communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in Education K-12, Higher Education, Commercial, Municipal, Medical, Religious preferred.
