About the position

The Junior Residential Architectural Design Professional will assist the project team in completing various residential projects. This role involves performing basic architectural assignments, computer drafting, and preparing design presentations. The position requires a commitment to teamwork and professionalism, with a focus on delivering accurate construction plans and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Generate construction drawings and check dimensions and materials used.
• Develop sketch details into CAD drawings and perform other drafting tasks.
• Create solutions to technical and design problems following established standards.
• Utilize knowledge of engineering practices and building materials to complete drawings.
• Make adjustments or changes to plans as necessary.
• Maintain and update drawing prototypes accordingly.
• Communicate project designs effectively with team members in both written and oral formats.
• Convey technical knowledge clearly to employees, contractors, vendors, and officials.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in residential construction drafting.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Revit is required.
• Strong technical, graphic, and oral communication skills are necessary.
• Experience with classical/traditional residential architecture is highly preferred.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in Sketchup (1 year preferred).
• Associate's degree in a related field (preferred).
