ARK Design Studio (ARK Architecture Design Studio, PLLC) is a boutique design firm established in 2021, dedicated to creating thoughtful, high-performance, custom residential and light commercial buildings. Our work is primarily focused in the Finger Lakes and Adirondack regions of New York, as well as Connecticut. With nearly 25 years of experience, we have developed expertise in the design and construction of heavy timber structures across the United States. We are currently seeking a skilled Architectural Designer to join our team, working under the guidance of a licensed architect. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in architectural design and a passion for creating innovative spaces that respond to the needs of the people and places they serve. The Architectural Designer will be responsible for designing and developing architectural projects from concept to completion. This includes creating sketches, renderings, 3D models, and construction documents. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with clients and builders to ensure that design solutions meet their needs and align with the project's goals. Proficiency in industry-standard software tools is essential, as the designer will utilize programs such as Archicad and SketchUp to create and refine design models. Additionally, the designer will develop system design solutions that integrate seamlessly with other building systems and prepare 2D and 3D schematics to effectively communicate design concepts and plans. As a remote work environment, the candidate must be a self-starter who thrives in a setting that promotes autonomy. The role requires excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of architectural design principles, and the ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment to meet client needs and tight deadlines. The successful applicant will ensure that all design work is completed to a high standard, meeting both project requirements and client expectations.
