About the position

The Architectural Designer at TAIT will be a key member of the Planning and Architectural Design team, responsible for leading the architectural design process from concept to execution. This role involves collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to create innovative designs that align with project visions and objectives, ensuring high-quality outcomes in themed entertainment architecture.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the Lead Architectural Designer and planner on projects with minimal supervision.
  • Lead multiple projects simultaneously and coordinate with management on design demands.
  • Participate in guiding and coordinating architectural and interior design efforts within projects.
  • Collaborate with all disciplines to achieve high-quality outcomes.
  • Present and participate in client-facing meetings regarding architectural planning and site development.
  • Lead and assist in programming, spatial layout planning, and throughput within project spaces.
  • Prepare plans, graphic presentations, and models for design studies and presentations.
  • Travel for client presentations and site visits.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Urban Planning, Landscape Architecture, or a related major.
  • 5-10 years of experience in themed entertainment architectural design or related fields.
  • Substantial experience in the construction process, taking projects from documentation to construction.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, Bluebeam, and other relevant BIM software.
  • Experienced in Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp, Rhino, Lumion, V-ray, and presentation software.

  • Creativity and innovation in generating new approaches to problems.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
