About the position
CY Architects is seeking an Architectural Drafter/Designer to join their growing small architectural design firm. The role involves coordinating the development of working drawings and specifications alongside the principal architect and Job Captain. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in AutoCAD and Revit, with a focus on small to medium-sized, complex technical projects such as modernizations to schools, courthouses, and healthcare facilities. This position offers flexible scheduling and opportunities for professional growth within the company.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate the development of working drawings and specifications.
- Collaborate with the principal architect and Job Captain.
- Work on small to medium-sized, complex technical projects.
- Utilize AutoCAD and Revit for design and drafting tasks.
- Assist in practical skills training and development for team members.
Requirements
- 3-5 years of experience in architectural drafting or design.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit (3 years required).
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture or Architectural Interiors (preferred).
- Valid Architecture License or candidate status (preferred).
- Fluency in English.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with California Division of the State Architect and California State Fire Marshal projects.
- Experience in civic/government and supportive housing projects.
