About the position
The Architectural Drafter/Designer at J Frankl Architects will play a crucial role in the design and documentation of various architectural projects, including commercial, residential, and mixed-use buildings. This position requires effective communication, strong organizational skills, and proficiency in industry-standard software. The ideal candidate will contribute to a collaborative team environment while ensuring the successful completion of projects.
Responsibilities
- Prepare construction documents including plans, details, sections, elevations, and schedules.
- Assist with drawing issuance during the bidding and negotiation phases.
- Identify problem areas and propose creative technical solutions.
- Ensure consistency between assigned tasks and the overall project goals.
- Perform general drafting and address redlines.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years working in an architectural office.
- In-depth knowledge of Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, and other industry-standard software.
- Experience with NYC DOB zoning, filing, and addressing objections is a major plus.
