About the position

Design First Builders is seeking an experienced Architectural Drafter to join their team. The role involves developing architectural plans for permits and requires a minimum of two years' experience in drafting residential construction documents. Responsibilities

• Conduct field measures and take photos of existing conditions.
• Develop construction documents, including drawings, specifications, and other documentation required for building permits and construction.
• Meet expected deadlines to prepare drawings for permit.
• Communicate clearly and effectively with clients in regards to architectural requirements.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Minimum two years' experience drafting residential construction documents.
• Two-year degree in Architectural Drafting or a Bachelor's Degree in Architecture preferred.
• Non-Licensed Level 1 Architect required; Level 2 preferred.
• Advanced understanding of architectural graphic standards and residential building methodology.
• Skilled communicator with client-facing experience preferred.

Nice-to-haves

• Chief Architect experience preferred, but related experience acceptable.
