About the position

We are seeking an experienced architectural draftsperson or job captain to join our small architecture firm on a part-time or contract basis. The role involves assisting with high-end residential projects, requiring a solid understanding of type V construction and wood-framed construction detailing. The position is not entirely remote and requires some in-office coordination in SE Portland.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the development of high-end residential projects.
• Coordinate with team members and clients during the design process.
• Prepare detailed architectural drawings and plans using Revit, AutoCAD, and SketchUp.
• Ensure compliance with building codes and regulations related to type V construction.

Requirements

• Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and SketchUp.
• Experience with type V construction and wood-framed construction detailing.
• Ability to work part-time and coordinate in-office as needed.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with MAC systems.
