About the position

We are seeking a talented and creative Interior Designer to join our team. As an Interior Designer, you will be responsible for assisting in designing and creating functional and aesthetically pleasing spaces for our clients. You will work closely with clients to understand their needs and preferences, and then develop design concepts that align with their vision. This is an exciting opportunity to showcase your design skills and make a significant impact on the look and feel of various spaces.

Responsibilities

  • Create detailed drawings, renderings, and specifications using software such as Revit, Bluebeam, and Rhinoceros 3D (or similar)
  • Select appropriate materials, finishes, furniture, lighting fixtures, and accessories for each project
  • Assist in sourcing and selecting furnishings, fabrics, and finishes that align with the project's vision and budget
  • Work to ensure designs meet deadlines and stay within budget constraints
  • Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and other stakeholders during the implementation phase
  • Conduct on-site visits to assess progress and address any design-related issues that may arise
  • Stay updated on industry trends, materials, and technologies to bring innovative ideas to projects
  • Contribute to client presentations, showcasing design concepts and addressing feedback effectively
  • Uphold the firm's commitment to excellence and deliver exceptional design solutions
  • Provide guidance on color schemes, space planning, layout, and overall design aesthetics
  • Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other professionals to ensure seamless execution of design plans
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously while adhering to deadlines and budget constraints
  • Conduct site visits to assess existing conditions and oversee the progress of ongoing projects
  • Assist with the coordination of installations, including furniture delivery and placement

Requirements

  • Proven experience as an Architect or Interior Designer or similar role
  • Proficiency in software such as Revit, Bluebeam, Rhinoceros 3D, and Adobe Creative Suite preferred
  • Strong knowledge of design principles, materials, finishes, lighting design, and space planning
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with clients and team members
  • Ability to create detailed drawings and specifications for construction purposes
  • Experience in budgeting and cost estimation for interior design projects
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Knowledge of drafting and contract documents
  • Ability to adapt to changing design trends and industry standards
  • Sales skills to effectively communicate design concepts and secure client approvals
