About the position

The Architectural Interior Designer role at Troyer Builders focuses on designing high-end luxury homes, requiring a blend of creativity, organization, and client interaction. The position involves working closely with clients to interpret their ideas into cohesive design plans while managing multiple projects simultaneously. The designer will utilize advanced CAD software to create photorealistic designs and ensure that all selections align with the company's style and client expectations.

Responsibilities

• Meet clients in design meetings to hear their ideas and interpret them into cohesive plans.
• Help clients narrow their options and make decisions about finish and fixture selections.
• Negotiate pricing with vendors and investigate new products.
• Stay on top of design trends and incorporate them into projects.
• Deliver design inspiration to client projects within the company style.
• Keep an organized directory of every design decision for each project.
• Deliver a detailed list of all selections to clients at the close of each project.
• Work with project managers and site supervisors to ensure correct installations by subcontractors and vendors.
• Occasionally lift and carry up to 50lbs as needed for project tasks.
• Assist in various tasks around the site to ensure project readiness.

Requirements

• Experience in Photorealistic CAD programs like Lumion, Enscape, Twinmotion, or SketchUp.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Excellent communication skills to listen to clients and interpret their needs.

Nice-to-haves

• An appreciation for good architecture and interior design.
• Experience in high-end custom home design.
