About the position

The Architectural Interior Designer at Troyer Builders is responsible for designing high-end luxury homes, ensuring that client visions are transformed into cohesive and functional designs. This role requires a blend of creativity, organization, and attention to detail, as the designer will work closely with clients to interpret their ideas and manage multiple projects simultaneously. The position emphasizes the use of advanced CAD software and involves hands-on tasks to support the design and build process.

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients to discuss their design ideas and preferences.
• Create cohesive design plans that flow throughout the entire house.
• Assist clients in narrowing down options for finishes and fixtures.
• Negotiate pricing with vendors and investigate new products.
• Stay updated on design trends and incorporate them into projects.
• Maintain an organized directory of design decisions for each project.
• Deliver detailed lists of selections to clients at project completion.
• Collaborate with project managers and site supervisors to ensure proper installation of selections.
• Occasionally lift and carry items up to 50lbs as needed.
• Perform hands-on tasks such as assembling furniture or cleaning as required.

Requirements

• Experience with Photorealistic CAD programs such as Lumion, Enscape, Twinmotion, or SketchUp.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Excellent communication skills to listen to and interpret client needs.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in furniture sales or construction marketing.
• A background in architecture or interior design, though not required.
