About the position

The Architectural/MEP Drafter (BIM) position at Robotic Imaging involves utilizing Autodesk software to create 2D drawings and 3D models from reality capture data. The role supports the local team in Philadelphia, PA, focusing on quality control, project management, and adherence to client standards. The ideal candidate will contribute to BIM modeling initiatives and manage multiple projects effectively while maintaining high standards of work.

Responsibilities

• Use Autodesk software (AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D) to prepare 2D drawings and 3D models from 3D reality point clouds and meshes.
• Analyze scopes of work and review/develop deliverables according to client standards.
• Participate in and execute BIM modeling and 3D modeling initiatives.
• Modify existing drawings per client markups.
• Maintain, create, and follow checklists to ensure consistency and quality of work prior to project submission.
• Provide prompt and accurate status reports on a daily basis.
• Complete accurate and timely project time sheets accounting for time spent on each project.
• Coordinate project requirements with team members and manage workflow.

Requirements

• Minimum 1-2 years of experience with Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD.
• Experience in modeling from point clouds (highly preferred).
• Ability to create and modify Revit families and templates.
• Experience with model coordination within 3D software (Revit, Recap, etc.).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural and structural construction documents.
• Self-starter with the ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Strong time management skills.
