About the position

We are seeking an experienced Architectural Millwork Drafter to join our team at a $60M custom cabinet company. In this role, you will be responsible for creating submittal drawings for our commercial product line, which specializes in the multi-family residential, retail, hospitality, and education sectors. You will work closely with our design and engineering teams to ensure that our products meet the needs and specifications of our clients. Your expertise in architectural millwork drafting will be crucial in delivering high-quality designs that align with industry standards and client expectations. As an Architectural Millwork Drafter, you will utilize your skills to create detailed submittal drawings that accurately represent our products. Collaboration is key in this position, as you will need to communicate effectively with both design and engineering teams to ensure that all products are designed to meet client specifications. Additionally, you will maintain accurate records and document all design changes, ensuring that the manufacturing teams have the correct information to produce our products to the highest standards. Staying up-to-date with industry trends and standards is essential in this role, as it will allow you to incorporate the latest practices into your designs. Your strong attention to detail and ability to work independently will be vital in managing your workload and meeting project deadlines. This position offers a full-time schedule with a day shift, providing a stable work environment in a growing company.

Requirements

  • Associate degree in drafting, engineering or a related field
  • 3+ years experience in architectural millwork drafting
  • Proficient in AutoCAD
  • Experience with MicroVellum preferred
  • Knowledge of industry standards and codes
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
